To become certified through the IAOM-US in
Orthopedic Medicine and Manual Therapy for the Upper Quadrant, an
individual must successfully complete the examinations covering
the 4 Upper Quadrant courses. The Certification will become
official within two months of the last examination date. You will
then be entitled to use the initials "COMT" or "CMTA"
following your name and credentials. The minimum series of courses
associated with Upper Quadrant Certification (90 hours) are
listed below:

To obtain COMT or CMTA, individuals are
required to submit proof of:
 | Current membership
of the IAOM-US.
 | PT or OT licensure in the state of
practice.
 | PTA or OTA licensure in the state of
practice.

Applications for any modular examination
should be made to the IAOM-US office no later than 6 weeks
prior to the requested date of testing.
